Independent Audit

What it is: An audit is a thorough, line-by-line review of our financial records, conducted by a licensed CPA firm that has no ties to FoDACC. The audit firm verifies that our statements fairly reflect reality and that we follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Why we did one: Michigan law requires an audit in order to register as a charitable organization and accept donations. It protects donors, helps ensure compliance with state laws, and safeguards the broader charitable community.
