FREE Adoptions - Empty The Shelters
From July 5–19, adoption fees at Detroit Animal Care and Control are completely covered, thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters event.
That means it’s the perfect time to meet your match, take home your new best friend, and save your money for the 3 T’s: Toys, Treats, and Training. Detroit dogs are sweet, smart, goofy, loyal, wiggly, snuggly—and so ready for loving homes.

There are dozens of adoptable dogs at Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) longing for a loving home and a spa day. If you adopt from DACC during the weekend of June 27 - you can help them score both!

Fix The Future - Free Cat Spays/Neuters for Detroit Residents
Registration is required.
Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control is excited to collaborate with the BISSELL Pet Foundation to offer free spay and neuter surgeries for pet dog and cats of Detroit residents. Friends of DACC will transport your pet to and from their surgery with the BISSELL Pet Foundation in Grand Rapids. Pet parents will drop their pet off and pick their pet up from us at Detroit Animal Care and Control (1431 E. Ferry, Detroit) on the date of their surgery.
