We offer a variety of ways for you to make a positive impact, so you can choose the method that resonates with you the most. Your donations, in all their forms, make FoDACC's mission possible.
FoDACC is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to Friends of DACC are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our tax identification number is 81-2386874.
How to Make Cash Donations
Your monetary support fuels our mission. Whether it's a one-time donation or a recurring contribution, your financial generosity directly translates into better care, medical attention, and a brighter future for the animals. Cash donations go toward caring for the animals in the shelter and transitioning them into their new lives with loving families, including:

Sponsor an Adoptable Animal
When you sponsor a homeless animal through Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control, you give that animal a second chance in finding a loving home. Your donated funds will help to care for homeless animals while at the shelter and get them prepared for the home they need and deserve.
You can sponsor any of the adoptable animals at DACC! Your gift will go toward the animals in our care, ensuring they are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped. Dogs are given a collar + leash + harness, provided with a training consultation, and heartworm treatment as necessary. Choose to sponsor the entire package or a certain amount. In the “additional comments” of your donation simply enter the dog’s name or animal ID number.
In-Kind Donations
Have supplies, pet essentials, or equipment to spare? Your in-kind donations make a significant difference in enhancing the shelter's resources and ensuring the well-being of our animal residents.
We accept in-kind donations of blankets, towels, dog/puppy food, cat/kitten food, creamy peanut butter, dog treats, cat treats, dog toys, cat toys, dog crates, cat carriers, 6-foot leashes, Feliway cat spray, Fresh News litter, KMR kitten milk replacer. These items are used to care for our animals both at the shelter and in foster.
Items can be dropped off between 10:30am and 3:30pm or shipped to this address any day of the week:

Create Your Fundraiser: Visit the Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control Facebook profile, click on “Fundraisers”, and then click “Raise Money.” Follow the prompts to set up your fundraiser.
