Community Conversations

Welcome to Detroit Pet People, a community for current and prospective pet owners. Each session is a chance to connect with one another; to ask questions, share tips and support, and learn together. Free dog and cat food is available at every session. Join us for these fun, supportive, and informative conversations dedicated to the well-being of our beloved pets.

Please note:

  • Everyone is welcome — you don’t have to live in Detroit to attend.

  • Please remember to leave pets at home so everyone can participate comfortably.

Edison Branch

In 2026, we will be at the Edison Branch of the Detroit Public Library Wednesdays at 6:00pm on:
