BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty The Shelters - FREE Adoptions!

We’re excited to announce that Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control (FoDACC) is once again teaming up the BISSELL Pet Foundation and Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) for the Spring Empty the Shelters event!

The shelter will be open every day from 10:30am, to 3:30pm, with special late hours until 7:00pm on May 1.

All adoption fees are completely waived for dogs and cats—thanks to the generous support of BISSELL Pet Foundation.

Whether you're looking for a playful pup, a chill cat, or your new furry soulmate, this is the perfect time to adopt. Our shelter is full of amazing animals just waiting for their chance—and during this event, they’re going home fee-free.
