Detroit Pet People - Community Conversation

Detroit Pet People is a monthly community conversation series hosted at the Edison Branch of the Detroit Public Library. These sessions bring together pet owners, aspiring pet parents, and animal advocates to share knowledge, ask questions, and support one another.

Each gathering features:

  • A new discussion topic

  • FREE dog and cat food (while supplies last)

  • Access to FREE spay and neuter appointments for Detroit residents

  • Guidance and facilitation from Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control

Please note:

  • Everyone is welcome — you do not need to live in Detroit to attend.
FREE spay/neuter services are available for Detroit residents only.
    Please leave pets at home.

Detroit Pet People meets at the Edison Branch of the Detroit Public Library on the last Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM.
In November and December, sessions are held on the third Wednesday due to holiday scheduling.
