#EmptyTheShelters - Waived Adoption Fees!

Give a pet a home this May — and it won't cost you a thing. Friends of DACC is thrilled to partner with BISSELL Pet Foundation for #EmptyTheShelters, a nationwide adoption event dedicated to finding loving homes for shelter pets.

From May 1 to 17, all adoption fees are completely waived. That means $0 to adopt — whether you visit us at the shelter, meet a pet at one of our offsite adoption events, or welcome a dog from a foster home. Every adoption, every location, every pet: free.

Adoption is one of the most meaningful things you can do. When you adopt, you're not just gaining a loyal companion — you're giving a dog a second chance and making space for another animal in need. Shelter dogs come in every size, age, and personality, and they're ready to love you completely.
