A Valentine’s Day Fundraiser to Help Keep Detroit Pets Fed

This Valentine’s Day, we’re asking our community to help in a simple but meaningful way: donate pet food support to families who need it most.

Providing pet food is one of the best ways to prevent animals from entering the shelter. When families get support, pets can stay home.

More families than ever are struggling to cover basic needs like groceries, rent, and utilities. For many pet parents, that also means worrying about how to afford food for the dogs and cats they love. We believe no one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pet.

Valentine’s Day is about love — and right now in Detroit, love looks like a full food bowl.

A Valentine’s Thank-You You Can Share

As a thank-you, every donation includes Valentine’s Day card(s) featuring dogs from Detroit Animal Care and Control.

These cards are a fun way to share the love — just like exchanging Valentines in school. They’re perfect for:

  • Friends and family

  • Coworkers

  • Classmates or teachers

  • Fellow animal lovers

Please use the form below to make a donation. Your donation helps pets, and the cards spread a little fun and kindness. Skip the roses and feed a best friend instead.
